About this Event
The Colorado Springs North Stake will be hosting a multi-stake Triathlon on Saturday, September 8. The timed event will start at the Briargate YMCA at 10am (4025 Family Place, COS, CO 80920) and will include the standard three legs of swimming, cycling, and running.
Boys and girls ages 14 and up and their parents are invited to participate. Participation will be free of charge.
The swim will be 100 meters, the cycling event will be approximately 10 miles and the run will be a 5K. It will be a staggered start. All participants should be finished no later than 2pm.
All participants will be required to sign up in advance. The sign-up times are for the check-in at the event. For example, someone who wishes to start swimming between 11:00am and 11:15am would sign up for Group 1 (10:00am – 10:15am).
Participants will need to provide their own equipment including a bicycle that has been recently tuned up and is in good working condition.
We expect this event will be a good opportunity for youth and parents to participate in a wholesome activity together. This is the first year the event has been opened up to the young women and all parents. Since we have a limited number of slots available, we encourage everyone to sign up as soon as possible.
We will need several volunteers. If anyone wants to be involved but doesn’t want to swim/bike/run we would welcome their help.
